Workshop Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment: Research needs?

Workshop from SETAC Europe 18th LCA Case Study Symposium
26-28 November 2012

The interest for Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA) is currently booming in the LCA community, culminating lately in the new special issue from the International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment fully devoted to the topic. In literature on LCSA, LCSA has mainly been conceptualized as a combination of LCA, SLCA, and LCC. With the recent publication of guidelines for performing SLCA and LCC and the existing standards for LCA, this could indicate that the question of how to perform an LCSA has been solved - but is anything missing? The objective of this workshop is through presentations and a following plenum discussion among its participants to outline as concretely as possible a research agenda for further developing LCSA.
